The product is basic. If used with a suspension fork, then a better skewer is recomended to allow easier locking and releasing. The ends of the mount that contact the fork dropouts are painted black. This paint is easily chipped and caused resistance to sliding onto the skewer. My solution was to sand the paint off on either end.
