This hitch is made to fit the MB W211 E320 sedan series up to 2006. If you check the Curt web site for mounting instructions, you will see that it mounts with two U-bolts per side under the bumper support tubes.
Unfortunately, with the E320 CDI, MB chose to angle the exhaust tips coming out of the two mufflers slightly inwards so that thay are partially under the bumper support tubes.
That means that there is no way that the Curt 11701 hitch will fit unless you cut the exhaust tips at the exit of the muffler. This is probably NOT a big deal, but you will have to do it if you want this hitch to fit.
I am thinking about it.
Not sure, but most likely the gas engine and non-sport versions of the E will work OK...at least Curt says so.

This is not a review, this is a clarification. This hitch fits the 2003-2006 MB E320 (W211)sedans. It does not look like the picture in the Amazon ad. If you want to see what it looks like, go to the Curt web site and find the instructions for this model of hitch. The hitch mounts over the bumper supports with U-bolts and requires the drilling of two holes. It may not be fantastic, but it is the only hitch available for W211 sedans in the U.S.
